Originally from Hartford, CT, Coley graduated from Trinity College in 2003 with a major in Chinese and Economics, and decided to escape the trappings of the typical post-grad life in finance and eventual country club residency by taking a chance and moving to Shanghai. There he worked for Accenture, taking orders and eating Big Macs for 2 years before moving to DressMonkey full-time.

Since becoming an entrepreneur, Dale offers this advice to those looking to start their own business: “Prepare to be poor, exhausted, frustrated, concerned, overwhelmed, and annoyed, but able to enjoy every bit.”

His main duties include overseeing all things production and product development for DressMonkey. He also commandeered the development of this website as well as every single random task that had to be done in China to launch DressMonkey.

When not at the factory or wandering around a random trade fair, Coley can be found dodging crazy Chinese traffic on his rollerblades or watching football and baseball at 6 in the morning.

He lives in Shanghai, China.
