Jeff Horowitz
Partner - San Diego
Sales and Marketing, Customer Support
Jeff grew up in southern California and graduated from Claremont McKenna College in 2003 with a degree in Government. He was offered a job upon graduation as a financial advisor to Orange County’s rich and famous but turned it down to start his illustrious career in China.
There, he worked as a business development manager for a Chinese logistics company at the Port of Shanghai. Having had the unique experience of being the only white boy in the entire Chinese company, Jeff was exposed to quite possibly every fashion faux pas known to man, thanks to his Chinese colleagues.
In early 2006, the culturally confused and fashionably frustrated Horowitz quit his job to start DressMonkey. “At the time, I felt compelled to address what I thought had become a growing need for young professionals like myself: the creation of a more respected and fashionably-dressed office monkey.”
His main duties include managing all front-end aspects of the company: customer service, sales and marketing, promotional campaigns, brand collateral, budgets, accounting, and importing.
He moved back from Shanghai in the summer of 2006 and now lives by himself in an extremely over-priced one-bedroom apartment in San Diego, CA. Remarkably (though if you asked Coley, he’d say otherwise), he manages DressMonkey while also getting his Master’s Degree in Pacific International Affairs and Management at UCSD.
